NACo , headquartered out of Washington DC, serves nearly 40,000 county elected officials and over 3.6 million county employees. Committee members are involved in all matters pertaining to criminal justice and public safety systems, including criminal justice planning and coordination, law enforcement and crime prevention, courts, corrections, homeland security, and civil disturbances.
