A Missouri man is facing several charges after leading law enforcement on a chase in Perry Co Thursday. A KSP Trooper observed a car swerving on route 451 and attempted to make a stop, but the driver sped on. The Trooper followed the car into Hazard, when Hazard Police took over. The driver led police to Airport Gardens before ditching his vehicle. Police briefly searched the area and found Michael Royer, who was already wanted in Missouri. According to the Perry Co Sheriff’s Office, Deputies responded to complaints of gunshots at a home near the Perry/Breathitt Co line Friday evening. The home was located off of Highway 476 on Feb Fork Road near the Rowdy community and arrested 31-year-old Joseph Collins. He was charged with a single count of attempted murder. The Kentucky State Police Pikeville Post received a 911 call on Sunday, April 04, 2021, regarding a shots fired complaint in Pike County.
KSP troopers and investigators responded to a residence on Chloe Road where they discovered a property dispute between neighbors had led to an altercation and one man shot.
The initial investigation indicated Jerry Coleman discharged a firearm during the altercation with five individuals.
David Taylor suffered a gunshot wound and was transported to Pikeville Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.
Jerry Coleman was transported by Lifeguard Ambulance Service to Pikeville Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.
