The roadmap serves as a guide or the men and women of our military as they seek meaningful, longterm employment as civilians. We know that securing military meaningful, longterm employment and experiencing a Successful Transition from military to civilian life, go handinhand. You see, i think its time that we wake up because that mantle is slipping away. I will tell you, sometimes it is absolutely despairing to serve here in washington, d. C. But i will also play at the same time we are told as believers very clearly, we are not to despair. We are to look up, whether we feel it or not, we look out. Whether we want to or not, we look up. Whether it doesnt seem like it on the evening news, we look out. And thats my charge to you today. We do not curse the darkness. We light a candle. Thats what believers due.
