Punjab: Sixteen-day special Corona Vaccination Drive begins in five districts today
In Punjab, a sixteen-day special Corona Vaccination Drive began in five districts at union council level today (Monday).
According to a spokesman of the Primary and Healthcare Department, during this drive, forty percent of the population of Lahore, Multan, Gujranwala and Faisalabad districts while seventy percent of Rawalpindi district will be vaccinated.
He appealed to the public to show full cooperation during the drive and continue following precautionary measures after getting vaccinated.
He said that the public can contact Health-line 1033 for any information and guidance in this regard.

New Delhi, Jan 16: Covishield vaccine has been developed by the University of Oxford and British-Swedish pharmaceutical company AstraZeneca.
Adar Poonawalla, Chief Executive Officer, Serum Institute of India (SII) which is British-Swedish pharma giant AstraZeneca s manufacturing partner - said that the vaccine would be 90 to 95 per cent effective if the two shots are parted by around 2-3 months.

The vaccine is being touted as one of the most promising vaccines for India where cost and logistics play a big roll. You ll be hearing some good news from the UK very soon.
