Former Blood Tribe councillor and Ninastako Cultural Centre cultural instructor Sheldon Joseph Day Chief became the latest candidate to declare his intention to run for mayor in this fall’s municipal election. Day Chief has maintained a residence in Lethbridge for the past 30 years, and has family ties which go back to the early foundation of the city. Day Chief discloses that his great grandmother was married to Nicholas Sheran, who is often recognized as the founder of the early community when it was still known as Coal Banks. ....

Pasta Ramen? We food obsessives in North Jersey have been teased on Instagram since late December about Pasta Ramen, a secret restaurant opening in a secret location by a secret chef. To get in, you need an invite, which you can only get through a referral by someone who already has managed to snag one (and you re sworn to secrecy) though Pasta Ramen recently solicited emails for its newsletter and invite list on its Instagram story. You also need deep pockets a meal costs $250 plus tax and gratuity. I got in thanks to my job. (I m grateful, so I can report on what food fans and the pros who help feed them are talking about.) ....
