Reporter the video youre watching right now is the first suspect arrested at the original scene near fourth and p street. Police say when they started to chase that car, one of the suspects bailed out. He was arrested at fourth and p. Then the chase ensued through the tunnel and thats when one of the suspects leaned out of the window with a mini machine gun and opened fire on the police. They hit a bump and dropped that weapon as well as all of the ammo inside the tunnel. The car then hit a jersey wall and came to a rest where the tow truck is about to take it away. At that point, police surrounded that car and took the two men into custody. Now we have three men in custody. No i. D. On these gentlemen. We dont know what started this incident but, again, police have recovered a mini machine gun. Chief lanier pointed out that this is the second time today that police in d. C. On guard right now for possibly multiple shooters firing from above. They are looking for multiple shooters who are firing from above.
