Because what we have seen is that latinos in the middle, moderate conservatives are pushing back against the tenor of the rhetoric toward immigration. So even though it may not tangibly affect them, theyre second, third, fourth, fifth generation, they are moving away from those candidates who speak of immigration in such a way.
