COVID-19 on Guam: No word yet on when Guam veterans can get vaccine

Island veterans, many of them elderly and with underlying medical conditions, are waiting for word when they might be able to roll up their sleeves and get the COVID-19 vaccine.
U.S. Secretary of Veterans Affairs Robert Wilkie sent out a news release stating veterans will be able to get inoculations of the COVID-19 vaccine, but it didn t mention Guam or other U.S. territories.
“We have not received any guidance from our Region IX partners or to the Community Based Outpatient Clinicv as to whether it is available to the veterans, where is it available, what is the process, the locations, said Tim Aguon, who heads the Guam Veterans Affairs Office in an acting capacity. I haven’t received any word yet, but I will be reaching out and will get the answer to the veterans community.” ....
