GEORGE TOWN: A South Korean pastor who was charged with two counts of outraging the modesty of two men in Butterworth about two weeks ago has been slapped with another similar charge in a Magistrate’s Court here.
However, the charge was not read out to Jee Jong Hoon, 54, who is speech- and hearing-impaired, as there was no international sign language interpreter available, and no plea was recorded yesterday.
According to the charge, Jee is alleged to have used criminal force on a man who was then 20 years old by touching his private parts, hugging and kissing his cheek and lips with the intention to outrage his modesty at a house in Gelugor in 2000.

The Bukit Aman CID director said the case is being handled by the CID s Special Investigation Unit. We are investigating under Section 505(b) of the Penal Code for causing public fear and alarm, he said in a statement on Tuesday (Dec 29).
Initial investigations revealed that the illegal activity involved a wide network along with local and foreign syndicates based on the total seizures and its value, he added. Our investigation will include the acquisition, storage, processing, smuggling as well as parties that have been manipulated or in cahoots with the syndicates in bringing the frozen meat through with Approved Permit (AP).
