Colorado one step closer to offering rebates on weddings


Bride Olivia Burns and groom Kyle Lehman take the Silver Queen Gondola to the top of Aspen Mountain to celebrate their wedding on March 4. Dylan Roberts, who represents portions of Eagle and Routt counties in the Colorado House of Representatives, is a sponsor of House Bill 21-1263 and amended it to take out language that would differentiate weddings and personal events from business conferences and professional events.

Colorado COVID restriction fatigue is setting in


As spring weather arrives, the desire to be out among other people will likely grow
On a recent sunny afternoon in Denver, there was a breeze blowing through Washington Park. A lot of folks were out, enjoying the weather. Amy Brustkern watched her three kids fly around a basketball court on small electric cars called Crazy Carts.
Asked if now, at the end of Year One, pandemic fatigue is a real thing, Brustkern was quick to answer.
“Oh, big time. Absolutely,” she said, adding it is especially tough on the kids. “Just getting them out and doing more things (is key), because if they can t go to school full time, or if they don t have all their activities, you really have to find ways to enhance what they re doing.” ....

Colorado Tourism targets safety messaging at TX travelers

COLORADO, USA The Colorado Tourism Office is trying to prepare spring break travelers from Texas for the more stringent COVID-19 restrictions they ll find here compared to their home state.
Republican Governor Greg Abbott announced March 2 that Texas would no longer be subject to a statewide mask mandate.
Cathy Ritter, director of the Colorado Tourism Office, took note of the move. 
There is a concern suddenly that the law is changing in Texas around mask-wearing, Ritter said.
Colorado is a popular vacation spot among Texans. ....
