Nagaland government college students demand revocation of transfer order on asst. professors

DIMAPUR: Eleven “Government Colleges Students’ Unions” have appealed to the department of Higher and Technical Education to immediately revoke its transfer order of assistant professors to New Model College, Wakching in Mon and New Model College in Mangkolemba, for a period of six months on attachment basis. Expressing dismay over transferring order of “permanent faculties” from Kohima College; Kohima Science College (A), Jotsoma; Fazl Ali College, Mokokchung; Mokokchung College for Teachers Education (MCTE), State College for Teachers Education (SCTE), Kohima; and Mount Tiyi College, Wokha, the conglomeration of student unions also demanded that the “recruitment and sanctioning of posts” be done via proper channel (NPSC CESE) and make prior consultation made with all stakeholders. “The implementation of Four-Year Undergraduate Programme (FYUGP) under New Education Policy (NEP) from the new academic session 2023, concurrent with the Old Nagaland University Syllabus (201 ....
