Californias fight against the coronavirus is keeping Seton Medical Center in daly city open. The hospital recently made headlines about its imminent closure but now Governor Newsom says it will undergo a multimillion dollar project to get ready for patients. 177 hospital beds will be designated, excuse me, for covid19 patients at seton. The community had been very worried about losing this hospital wondering where people who needed care would go for help, especially as this pandemic hit. So, there is some relief that the state is using seton. They still have to move in the medical equipment and train the staff, so theyve got a little work to do. That is a worsecase scenario there. Meanwhile Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti appeared to say he is on board. It is critical for all people to stay inside their homes and immediately limit all nonessential movement. I think we all fantasize that our city, our state, our country has a protective mote.
