Bert Owen, 61, of Claude Road, Caerphilly, was found guilty of being in possession of a knife on Ruperra Street, New Tredegar, on Monday, March 8. He appeared in court on Monday, June 21, and was given a six-week prison sentence suspended for six months. He was also ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £128 and £85 costs.
Ross Andrew Appleby, 28, of Caerau Road, Newport, was found guilty of being in possession of a lock knife in Newport. It happened on Thursday, August 27, and he appeared in court on Friday, May 7. He was given a six-month prison sentence suspended for 12 months. He was ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £128 and £85 costs. The lock knife was destroyed. He was also found guilty of possession of cannabis at the same time but there was no separate penalty.
His driving licence was endorsed with six points.
LEWIS ANTHONY WILLIAMS, 22, of Mining School Close, Crumlin, was banned from driving for six months after he admitted driving without insurance. He was ordered to pay £419 in a fine, costs and a surcharge.
GEORGE SAMUEL PRICE, 21, of Bronawelon Terrace, Crumlin, was ordered to pay £282 in a fine, costs and a surcharge for driving without insurance. His driving licence was endorsed with six points.
TYLER PRESCOTT WILLIAMS, 27, of Clos Claerwen, Blackwood, was ordered to pay £574 in a fine, costs and a surcharge for speeding at 43mph in a 30mph zone at the Coldra in Newport.
THOMAS HARVEY, 41, of Gaskell Street, Newport, was ordered to pay £439 in fines, compensation, costs and a surcharge after he admitted stealing drill sets and screwdrivers from B&Q
AUGUSTIN BUJOR LACATUS, 44, of Cedar Road, Newport, was banned from driving for three months after he admitted driving whilst disqualified. He was ordered to pay £239 in a fine, costs and a surcharge.
HASSAN IBRAHIM, 25, of Ruperra Street, Newport, was banned from driving for six months after he failed to give information relating to the identification of a driver. He was ordered to pay £816 in a fine, costs and a surcharge.
