Zvezda raised its record to 7-13 by breaking a four-game losing streak away from home, while Madrid fell to 13-7 and missed the chance to tie FC Barcelona in second place. Corey Walden scored 16 of his 18 points as Zvezda established consistent leads in the first half. Ognjen Dobric followed him with 13 points, while Duop Reath scored 10, but the big star for Zvezda was a defense that let no Real player surpass the 11 points that Rudy Fernandez scored off the bench. Zvezda came off a bad loss in the Adriatic League, 85-65, against Ikogea Aleksandrovac. Coach Radonjic managed to turn the situation around in less than 72 hours, as Zvezda defeated Panathinaikos OPAP Athens 74-71 at Aleksandar Nikolic Hall. Zvezda improved in aspects not always shown in the stats. The team came out with the right mentality, diving for loose balls, playing with high intensity and being focused at all times. It did a great job of using non-shooting fouls to avoid easy baskets and that allowed Zvezda to get a double-digit lead that eventually led it to victory. ....
