Morning, a stretch of the pa sefk coast highway in ventura is closed after a fast moving brush fire broke out last night. We are taking a live look out of ventura county, the fire has burned 1,100 acres along highway 101 and is threatening at least 35 homes. Mandatory evacuations are in place for the solimar beach community, these images from a couple hours ago, the cause of the fire is unknown at this time. Afternoon. So 30s to near 50 as you head on out in the next couple of hours. But by noontime everyone should be in the 50s. Low 60s, though, if you are inland. And by the afternoon a little breezy. wonder if the mist is giving those lights a different look. a dreamy look. good morning i m terry mcsweeney in for eric thomas. and i m kristen sze. berkeley firefighters confirming a woman has died in a fast moving house fire overnight. katie marzullo is live on marina street. reporter: we ve been able to move closer to the house. take a look this is what remains the house still standing there fire as high as the attic and as low as the basement crews making sure there are no hot spots left because this is such an old home they worry there could be fire in the walls. they are want to put all of that out. it was a deadly fire. young woman who died was on the third floor in the attic space that was converted into a lot of. crews were able to go in and get her and bring her out, which was a feat getting up to those attic spaces difficult because they have such thin entryways. they did start cpr but she did not survive. crews don t know her exact cause of death. ....
