A FRUSTRATED Warndon Villages resident has resorted to putting up a sign pleading for people to stop dumping dog mess bags.
A councillor has backed the message “Please stop throwing your dog poo bags in the bushes put them in the bins’ which is on the sign that has been put up in a path off the B4638 Woodgreen Drive.
Andrew Cross, a Warndon Villages parish councillor, said: “It is really grim to see bags of dog poo flung into trees or hedges - it is one of the worst things to clear up. ....

Councillor calls for review to ensure Lichfield District Council meetings aren't disrupted by technical issues

A councillor has called for a review to ensure decision-making at Lichfield District Council is not disrupted by technical problems during online meetings.
It comes after a gathering of the planning committee was debating an application for a development at Drayton Bassett yesterday (8th March).
Cllr Steve Norman said technical issues during the online meeting meant parts of it could not be heard by those taking part or listening in.
The Labour group leader – who is not a member of the planning committee but was watching online – said the council could not risk having to delay decisions because of problems with technology. ....

Torfaen Santa Appeal donation boost by Dragon Taxis

Jack Price, Dragon Taxis regional director, visited one of the dedicated drop off points in the borough to present the items to Councillor Fiona Cross, Torfaen council s executive member for children, families and communities, representing Torfaen Santa Appeal.
He said: “Driver-partners work in the heart of their communities and often hear first-hand the difficulties people face.
“After a particularly challenging year, we wanted to give something back to those in need in our local area.
“We hope this donation will bring some Christmas cheer to young people in Torfaen.”
Cllr Cross said: “We really appreciate Dragon Taxis’ kind donation. These items will make a huge difference to young people in the county who would otherwise have very little or nothing this Christmas time.” ....
