Manchin publicly pulled support for the climate items but yesterday, just hours after mcconnell gave democrats the votes needed for that unrelated chips bill, manchin reversed course once again, and signaled that he would support a reconciliation package. the lawmakers caught off guard by the deal are pouring over the deal to find out what s in it. and democrats for the most part sounded hopeful. but the other key democrat we have not yet heard from is senator kyrsten sinema of arizona. she opposed ending the carry interest tax break for high earners and her office declined to comment to nbc news when asked about that provision being included, in this new manchin deal. the federal reserve following through on another three quarters of a point rate hike as it tries to fight inflation running at 40-year highs but what the fed chairman said about the future may signal whether the economy is headed for a recession. nbc news correspondent tom costello has the details. ....
