hundreds of thousands in what is normally the sunshine state of florida have been left in the dark, powerlines are down all across the state. we know that and we also know much more. overnight matthew was downgraded to a category 3 but is still a monster of a storm. it is nearly 300 miles wide. fema reports it is not it has not seen a storm so strong in a decade. the damage is expected to be severe as that of hurricane andrew. the storm wrecked the island nation of haiti. its death toll is now up to 283 and expected to grow there in haiti. we have live team coverage of this massive storm and the impact it is having but first here s meteorologist tara blake tracking math right now. winds at 120 miles per hour, let s go through the track as us here in northeast ohio are east coast. you can see the mileage there moving off now, expected to move north-northwest at around 12 miles per hour dumping as much as nine to 15 inches of rainfall along the coastal areas of florida, geo
