Three Tigers Selected in 2024 MLS SuperDraft

CLEMSON, S.C. - The 2023 NCAA Men’s National Champions continued its December with three Clemson United players, Brandon Parrish, Ousmane Sylla and Nathan Richmond, being drafted during the 2023 MLS SuperDraft on Tuesday evening. 2023 marks the 11th-straight SuperDraft in which Clemson has had at least one player drafted, and the fifth-consecutive year that saw at least three Tigers drafted to the MLS. Clemson is the only program to have at least three selections in each of the last five seasons. During Head Coach Mike Noonan’s 14 years at the helm of the Clemson United program, the Tigers have had 29 players selected during the annual MLS SuperDraft, with 18 of those players being drafted in the past five seasons. Clemson, S.C. – Ousmane Sylla recorded his fourth-career brace and Arthur Duquenne recorded a career-high three assists as Clemson United overpowered Louisville, 5-1, on Wednesday evening in front of 3,785 fans in the second of two ACC quarterfinal matchups. With the win, the Tigers advance to the ACC Championship for the 11th time in school history and sixth time under head coach Mike Noonan.The Tigers recorded 28 shots to Louisville’s three, including 18 on goal. Sylla led the Tigers with two goals on the night, while Gael Gibert and Isaiah Easley each had one. Remi Okunlola netted a goal and recorded an assist and Arthur Duquenne assisted on three of Clemson’s five goals. Tigers Shut Out Boston College On Senior Night

Clemson, S.C. - No. 15 Clemson men’s soccer team (9-3-2,4-2-1 ACC) recorded their most goals in a conference game this season and defeated the Boston College Eagles (3-8-4, 0-5-2 ACC) 6-0 at Historic Riggs Field on senior night and in their final regular season home game. During an explosive first half, Alex Meinhard scored the first goal of the game in the 19’ followed by a penalty kick scored by Ousmane Sylla in the 22’. At the 30’, Ousmane Sylla scored another goal and just minutes later Nathan Richmond scored a goal assisted by Alex Meinhard leaving the score 4-0 at halftime. Boston College only recorded one shot in the first half to the Tigers 14. Early in the second half of the match Meinhard scored his second goal of the night in the 50’ assisted by Sylla.
