neighbored were stunned. this is an attempted burglary. the police arrived to the store after 2:00 this morning. after a report that a burglar alarm had gone off. officers say they confronted a man at a business. the man chased him down and caught him. the two had a struggle in which the officer fired his pistol hitting the male. the suspect was pronounced dead. the officer was treated and released for minor injuries and went back to the hospital awhile later for more tests. he is on paid administrative leave. the investigators have not released the name of the officer or the suspect. all right, sharon, thank you. a woman is accused of beating her neighbor to death with a baseball bat, the body of a 66-year-old woman was found last night inside of a home on north clairemont street. the investigators found the bat nearby. the suspect is 40-year-old brent martinez. later showed up to turn herself in. motive for the beating is not clear and the victim s name has no ....
behind the wheel. authorities say he slammed into the patrol car. officers were trying to pull this car over after they ran the plates but the driver was desperate to get away. officers initiated the stop. the subject attempted to flee by driving around a stopped vehicle at the intersection. reporter: the officer who fired last night was standing just outside of his patrol car and investigators say the teen driver sped right toward him. the subject drove directly at that officer, striking his car. reporter: that s when the officer fired into the moving car, hitting the boy once. he was rushed to the hospital with critical injuries. the teenager has not been identified but police say he is from sap pablo san pablo. the officer involved in the shooting was also hurt and had to be treated at a hospital. he was will be put on jad min administrative leave while they piece together exactly what happened here. alex savidge, ktvu channel 2 news. police in pleasant ....
