79-year-old Claren Lee Hosselton of Clay City died Thursday in a grain bin accident in northern Wayne County. Coroner Carrie Dagg said responders were dispatched to the scene and Hosselton was pronounced dead upon extrication shortly after 2:30 p.m. Thursday. An autopsy has been scheduled to assist in determining the cause of death, and complete results are expected to take several weeks. The Wayne County Coroner, Wayne County Sheriff's Office, North Wayne Ambulance Service, Clay City Fire Protection District and Flora Rescue responded to the scene. Severe weather moved through southern Illinois and the Ohio Valley region late Friday night and early Saturday morning. Wayne County was spared the worst of the weather, however the entire region was under thunderstorm warnings for a time late Friday night and early Saturday morning.
