weapons are so controversial? yeah, wolf, we are told this right now is pending approval really at the highest levels of the white house and this could happen and be included in a military aid package to ukraine as soon as next month, so this could move fairly quickly here. essentially what cluster munitions are is they are munitions when they explode on impact they scatter a large number of bomblets. and those bomblets can actually fail to explode when they hit the ground. some of them can be duds. and so the concern there obviously is the risk it could pose to civilians over the long-term very similar to land mines. and this is why the biden administration had been reluctant for several months to fulfill the ukrainian s request for cluster munitions because they could pose risk to civilens and more importantly these cluster mufigs are also banned in over 100 countries worldwide including key u.s. allies. now the u.s. says because of conditions on the battlefield in ukraine for the
