We were expecting an attack in erbil, isil have been very clear that they wanted to attack erbil. In august they sent a message saying that we will send a volley of car bombs and suicide bombers into the city of erbil itself. Also on social media, also this isnt confirmed, through isil accounts are claiming responsibility for this attack. However, i stress that isnt confirmed from isil officially but social media accounts that follow isil quite closely.
