Lyrics to many of the iconic singer/songwriterâs songs will soon be etched into a rounded half-wall in front of the school near the intersection of East 22nd Street and Seventh Avenue East, also known as Bob Dylan Drive. The monument will also contain a bronze chair to complete the spaceâs intended purpose â a place where people can sit and âget to wonderingâ about the many ways Dylanâs musical career has influenced their lives.

But for Hibbing residents, all is not lost.
Spurred on by what she saw neighboring communities were doing to provide community eventsâdrive-bys, drive-ins and the like, Hibbing teacher and resident Jen Forer got to thinking, âWhy not Hibbing?â Her thinking quickly turned into action as she shared her thoughts with friends and co-workers. âWith Covid-19 limiting Hibbing s traditional Holiday celebrations, I was really missing the Spirit of Unity Parade, Yuletide Festival, the band and choir concerts, and our elementary holiday programs,â Forer said.
In just a matter of days, she assembled a group which has pulled together an impressive Hibbing Holiday Celebration. Slated to happen from 6-7 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 23, the celebration has been specifically curated for all audiencesâover the radio, virtually and live. Residents who are not on social media can hear the program over the air on AM 1240 WMFG. It will be shared on Facebook via the Hibbing Schoo
