joining us ben shapiro is a they have separated the campus and the city of berkley itself and there s been three arrests. hannah benjamin was arrested for carrying a weapon. and sarah rourk was arrested for carrying a banned weapon. we are outside with more on the protests. reporter: hey, guys, in fact, just a few minutes ago, a few seconds ago, the students started to march through the streets and saying, this is our university. they have appeared to have come from the student union where they had been shouting at the protesters in the street, shouting with them, actually, in support. these protesters, hundreds of them here on bancroft avenue, speaking out against the appearance of ben shapiro, conservative commentator. we have been here for hours and so have the protesters. this protest has been very loud a times. but, it has been largely peaceful. the exception of a few arrests for people who brought banned items in to the event. the police presence, i have to tell you
