Police have barricades ready to deal with what is sure to be a zoo. At an actual zoo animal keepers in oakland are trying to keep the animals warm. These tortoises are not used to frigid nights. A lot of our animals at the zoo come from more tropical environments and need more heat than we have in the bay area. Reporter the zoo double checks the Heating Systems and added more heat lamps ahead of the cold. The tortoises have their own heated barn the barn usually stays above 70 degrees so its good temperatures for these guys. Reporter the dog days are long gone. As evidenced by luckys added layer.
