I believe when you give it to the private sector, there is a profit incentive there. How can they be as competitive . You did not believe in a profit incentive . Not for Small Businesses, but when it comes to medicare, they deserve the best treatment, not somebody spinning off a profit incentive and salaries. When you compare medicare to private insurance companies, their costs are way lower. What we have is working, but we need to make it more efficient.
