STUFF The Oneroa treehouse build on Waiheke Island was one of the more strenuous projects to feature on Grand Designs NZ. But the view made it all worth while. It was an uphill battle to build this ‘treehouse’ on Waiheke Island – literally. And Grand Designs NZ filmed it, pretty much every step of the way as the builders lugged timber up a 100m slippery slope. The project was Robyn and David Shea’s dream holiday home, with a dream view. But now, just over three years after the show aired, the family is selling up to concentrate on their “full-on” business in Tauranga. ....

But it received the highest praise possible by Grand Designs presenter Chris Moller who gave O’Sullivan the ultimate accolade, comparing him to legendary greats Frank Lloyd Wright and Alvar Aalto. ....
