those are where we re seeing the heaviest rain and flood reports. all of the ground is saturate baud we had heavy rain last saturday, sunday and monday and then it was cloudy. so really the moisture in the ground wasn t able to dry out. so any rain that hits the surface, it can lead to flooding. and what we re looking at is the threat zone highest over southern delaware and the jersey shore. the yellows and reds is the heaviest rain falling out there. there is now a flash flood warning in place through 8:15 this morning and that is because we already have reports of over three inches of rain that have fallen. 3 to 4 inches is only needed for flooding to occur. the whole area is under a flash flood watch meaning pretty much from philadelphia south anywhere could see flooding as a result of the heavy rain, but the threat really has been cape may and atlantic county. and you can see cape may is still getting pounded right now. 1 1/3 inch falling per hour. the red is clipping loo
