(Representative image) RANCHI: Members of Private Schools and Children Welfare Association (PSCWA) met chief minister Hemant Soren on Friday and urged him to take steps to reopen schools. The state president of PSCWA, Alok Dubey, said, “We met the CM at Project Bhawan and requested that a mechanism be developed for reopening schools for senior students. The school staff must also be vaccinated.” He stated that livelihood of lakhs of people working as teachers and employees of private schools have been affected by the government decision. Members of the organization said that it is now 16 months since the educational institutions were first closed by the government due to Covid-19 pandemic. He pointed out that several states like Bihar and Rajasthan have decided in favour of reopening schools. Dubey said that the CM has assured to look into the matter seriously. ....
