Photo Credit: City of Belleville Belleville welcomes a new acting fire chief, as of today – The city says Deputy Fire Chief Don Corbett, will be Belleville’s Acting Fire Chief, until the recruitment process is completed for a new fire chief. Yesterday was Chief Mark MacDonald’s last day in the position – The city says Corbett is a leader in day-to-day operations, administration and emergency services at the fire department, having graduated from Dalhousie University and working as the Deputy Fire Chief of Operations in Kingston. Chief Administrative Officer Rod Bovay says the city appreciates all of MacDonald’s hard work in Belleville, adding that the city also looks forward to working with Corbett, in his new position as acting fire chief. ....
