Karnataka Bank gets 3 new General Managers

Karnataka Bank has promoted three of its Deputy General Managers viz., Shri Raja B S, Shri Nirmal Kumar Kechappa Hegde and Shri Ravichandran S as General Managers.
Shri Raja B S, is a Post Graduate in Commerce, Certified Associate of the Indian Institute of Bankers (CAIIB), Certified Bank Trainer and also a Certified Credit Professional.
He started his career in the Bank in 1990 as an Officer and has worked both at operational and administrative levels at various locations. Upon his elevation to the cadre of Chief Manager in 2011, Shri Raja B S, served at HO - Vigilance Department and HO - HR & IR Department. He was elevated as Assistant General Manager in 2014, and headed Hyderabad Region. He was elevated to the cadre of Deputy General Manager in 2017 and headed various departments at Head Office namely Planning & Development Department, New Business Department, Transformat

The State government on Monday ordered suspension of four engineers of Water Resources Department in the Public Works Department (PWD) in the wake of breach suffered by a check dam in Panruti taluk of Cuddalore district on Saturday.
Chief Engineer (Chennai Region), K. Asokan; Superintending Engineer, Pennaiyar basin circle, Tiruvannvamalai, N. Suresh; Executive Engineer (Lower Pennaiyar basin division), Villupuram, A. Jawahar and Assistant Executive Engineer (Lower Pennaiyar basin sub-division), Tindivanam, B. Sumathi were suspended from service with immediate effect, through orders issued by Principal Secretary of the PWD K. Manivasan.
The suspension had been made as the government was contemplating instituting an inquiry against the officials for lapses in the construction of the ₹ 25.35-crore check dam.
Chennai, which was the worst affected district, continued to top the fresh cases table with 155 cases followed by 58 cases in Chengalpet and 55 cases in Coimbatore.
CHENNAI: Tamil Nadu added 574 fresh cases of Covid-19 on Friday, which pushed the cumulative case tally to 8,33,585. With eight death, the death toll touched 12,307. There were 5,073 people still under treatment for the viral infection as per public health registry.
While Perambalur was the only district to report zero fresh cases of the viral infection on Friday, at least 32 districts reported zero deaths.
While Chennai reported four deaths, four other districts Chengalpet, Coimbatore, Ranipet and Vellore reported one death each.
