He is a chemical engineer, he is a restaurateur, he is the first ever Masterchef Canada meet the rebel chef, Eric Chong.
Chong’s love of creating in the kitchen started at a young age inspired by his grandfather. “Believe it or not, I first became interested in cooking when I was 6 years old after watching my grandfather, who was a Dim Sum chef and owned his own restaurants. I still have photos of me folding dumplings with my grandfather. I remember being so intrigued by the fact that my grandpa could produce such tasty and beautifully presented food right before my eyes.”
