The University of Minnesota has purchased furniture and laundry services from MINNCOR Industries, a program run by the state Department of Corrections that employs incarcerated people.
A deed to the property acquired by the district in 1923, includes the following language: “No person belonging to any race except the Caucasian, shall purchase or occupy the aforesaid premises or any part thereof.”
