DANVILLE, Va. â On the brisk morning of Saturday, April 24, Swiftwater Rescue team members of the Danville Life Saving Crew embarked on a day of water training in the Dan River. Although it was a chilly, rainy day on all radars, that did not put a damper on the teamâs dedication to sharpen their skills in responding to local residentsâ needs. âWhen emergencies occur, it is rarely a beautiful, sunny and 75-degree day.
