Darell Ann Pennington was a dear friend, trusted member of my staff, and tireless advocate for marylands Fifth District. For the past 12 years he saved as a case worker in my office in green belt, maryland, serving prince georges county, culvert county and anne arundel county. She had worked for earl yes state senator. Mr. Speaker, she knew the Fifth District and communities better than almost anyone. And she cared deeply about the people who called, emailed, and wrote to us asking for assistance with federal agencies and help accessing government services. In particular, she was a fierce advocate for our district seniors. But she was also a mentor to countless young people, including interns who came to our District Office and learned lessons from her not only about serving our constituents but how to approach life through perseverance, faith, and positivity. Vicki liviakis is tracking the impact of the outage. pam but first kron4s Charles Clifford joins us live with what we know tonight about the cause pam grant the good news tonight is that pg e says that all power has been restored here in San Francisco and even though this outage was almost city wide, there were apparently no major injuries or accidents. According to pg e, around 919 friday morning there was fire at the larken street substation in San Francisco. The fire appears to have been started when a Circuit Breaker failed. Sotin all, 88 thousand customers in the northern and central parts of San Francisco lost power. 21 schools lost power, 300 Traffic Signals went dark, and muni and bart experienced Power Outages at the montgomery station. Several hospitals also lost power but were able to keep the lights on using backup generators. Reporter this is one of many areas across town where heavy winds knocked down massive trees. Check out the root of that tree. Road. This is edge hill drive. We watched as crews wrapped up trying to clear this tree. Minutes. But they had been here for about four hours. We talked to homeowners and neighbors across charlotte. A tree fell on a condo in the will more area. It caused so much damage inside, that structure has been deemed unsafe. We saw crews working to clear a tree that fell on a vintage seen Power Outages, two gas leeks, and trees down within a three block radius. A nearby homeowner told us the impact knocked down one of the trees in her yard and damaged her fence and she described the moment it happened. He started barking. We heard a loud rustling.
