Carolyn Cox tells me what she loved the most about practicing law was “hands down trying to figure out what the facts were.” She adds with a chuckle, “I was always so excited when we would get a delivery of big boxes of documents.” Cox retired in 2009. But those beloved deliveries didn’t stop. She wrote the recently published book The Snatch Racket: The Kidnapping Epidemic That Terrorized 1930s America. Her six-year effort included making more than 150 Freedom of Information Act requests to the FBI. ....
