midnight. so you ve got a few more hours to go. but that will make its way down towards san francisco by about 6:00, 7:00. the first wave of heavy rain will be accompanied by very gusty winds. this isn t going to last all day. there is going to be an eastward push to heavier rain, but more waves are going to follow it up. all of this is associated with an atmospheric river an ar2 on the 1-5 scale, which means it s a weak atmospheric river. but on that level of the scale, we re looking at yes, beneficial rainfall for the still rain starved bay area despite some recent rain events. but it could be hazardous specifically in terms of the gusty winds up to 45 miles an hour. but also the potential for too much rain in a short amount of time when those waves come through of heavier rainfall. it s a marginal risk of excessive rainfall according to the weather prediction center. what that means is while widespread flooding isn t anticipated, we could see some minor flooding. that mean
