We want to begin with the latest out of turkey where theres an intense manhunt for the gunman who opened fire at one of the countrys most popular nightclubs. It happened when people were celebrating the new year and what offials are calling a terror attack. The gunfire started at 1 30 local time when according to the provinces governor the assailant armed with a longbarrel weapon shot and killed an officer outside the club. Then he stormed inside and opened fire on the 600 party goers. Around 120 bullets were fired. At least 39 people are dead. Officials say at least 28 of them are foreign nationals. 69 more are injured including an american. In two newlyleased surveillance videos, you can see bullets ricocheting off cars as the gunman runs down the sidewalk. And the other video released in slow motion, you can see people hide for cover and a dog run away as the gunman opens fire outs
chance they can make it. reporter: the oer crashed onto a busy road. one o them came pretty much straight down. the other one had a little control, but he was coming down. there was no stopping it. reporter: three people dead. they have not been identified. the ntsb says both planes were flying under visual flight rules and not in contact with any control tower after leaving the aerocountrairport. in the highly populated area of mckinney, texas, dozens documented the aftermath. i was devastated. it was so terrible. i was so scared and felt, i don t know, i was just shocked. reporter: charles drexel was at his storage locker and saw the planes collide. he took this dramatic video running to one of them. i saw the initial impact. and i knew they were going very fast. there was no way they could have survived. i mean, i know they did not suffer. that wasnbc s janet shamlian
