Maine Bureau of Parks and Land representatives told Franklin County commissioners in August they would help repair storm damaged roads to Tumbledown Mountain trailheads.
Franklin County road agent Mike Pond would like to see a plan of what the Maine Bureau of Parks and Land wants to do and to see if the two 18-inch culverts are big enough to handle the water.
People in favor of funding the nonprofit agencies and the services provided wanted the funding approved in the budget to be distributed to the organizations.
Maine's delegation said the federal government should "terminate its evaluation" of a 200,000-acre portion of the state's High Peaks region and "instead, work with the established local conservation entities and the state to address any wildlife-related issues."
