Changi Airport Covid-19 cluster grows to 25; MOH to offer free testing for people who had visited Terminal 3 since May 3


SINGAPORE - There were 16 cases of Covid-19 infection confirmed on Wednesday (May 12), 10 of which are community cases and the other six imported ones.
Of the community cases, seven are linked to the Changi Airport cluster. This brings the total number of patients in the cluster to 25, forming the second-largest active cluster after the one at Tan Tock Seng Hospital which has 44 cases.
Members of the public who had visited Changi Airport Terminal 3 since May 3 will be offered free Covid-19 testing, MOH said on Wednesday night.
MOH will progressively inform these individuals via SMS notification with information on how to book an appointment for their test, it added. ....

This brings the total number of cases to 61,419.
There are 10 cases in the community today, including one unlinked case.
There are also six imported cases.

Case 63096
Case 63096 is a 33 year-old male Philippines national who works as an operating theatre nurse at Sengkang General Hospital.
He developed a runny nose on the night of May 9, and cough the next night, and subsequently fever, sore throat, shortness of breath and loss of taste on May 11.
He was tested for Covid-19 on May 10 as part of Sengkang General Hospital’s proactive testing of staff and his test result came back positive for Covid-19 infection on May 11. His serology test result is positive. ....

SINGAPORE, May  11 A cook at the Mos Burger outlet in Suntec City mall was one of the three Covid-19 cases in the community yesterday (May 10). The other two are linked to a cluster where the first detected case was an 88-year-old cleaner deployed at Changi Airport Terminal 3.
In its evening update on the coronavirus situation in Singapore, the Ministry of Health (MoH) said that the 59-year-old Singaporean woman working as a cook did not interact with customers at the fast-food outlet. ....

Two of the new Covid-19 community cases announced on May 10, 2021, are linked to a cleaner who was deployed at Changi Terminal 3.

SINGAPORE - Two of the three new Covid-19 cases in the community announced on Monday (May 10) are people who work at Changi Airport Terminal 3.
They are linked to an 88-year-old cleaner who was confirmed to have Covid-19 infection on May 5. There are now 10 people in the cluster.
The remaining community case is currently unlinked.
One of the two linked to the airport cluster is a 44-year-old Singaporean employed in operations at the Raffles Medical clinic in Terminal 3. ....
