A housefire was reported around 10:31 p.m. in the city of Willmar, Minnesota, Monday. On their way, firefighters were advised there were still people inside the residence. The home sustained heavy damage and is considered to be unlivable at this time.
Willmar police arrested a 22-year-old male from Willmar after a caller reported a stolen vehicle at 12:03 a.m. Jan. 1. According to a news release, officers located the vehicle and attempted a stop, but the male fled from police.
A 52-year-old man was transported to the hospital Tuesday night in Willmar after being struck by a car. He was later pronounced dead due to his extensive injuries. Willmar police are investigating.
Willmar police were dispatched Thursday morning to a crash involving a school bus in Willmar. According to Chief Felt, the bus was rear-ended by a following vehicle. A 15-year-old driver suffered minor injuries and was issued a citation.
