Windows were actually cracked before the wind storms back in march. Here is nbc investigative reporter. Reporter although the city was hit with gusts up to 70 miles an hour, the wind was not the main cause for many of the 31 window failures. In some cases windows had already cracked due to heatrelated stress. In others the windows had defects detected beforehand. This entire dynamic has to be changed and brought to the dawn of the middle of the 21st century. Reporter supervisor aaron peskin says it will help for city regulations to be introduced next week including stronger inspection and reporting requirements, using photos and Video Evidence the report found the window at the former bank of america building at 50 california street had likely failed before the wind storm. Thats where cell phone video showed the window plunged to the ground. The report showed it had already cracked likely from the stress of temperature variations ....
