C.A.P.S. in San Angelo empowers, encourages students through music

SAN ANGELO A nonprofit in San Angelo is empowering and encouraging students through music.
CJ Luckey, a youth pastor at Freedom Fellowship Church in San Angelo, founded C.A.P.S., Celebrating All Persevering Students, in October 2017.
We teach students powerful, insightful concepts, Luckey said. For example, one of the concepts that we teach is a concept called the power of yet. I can t do this yet, this doesn t make sense yet, I don t get it yet.
After being taught the concept, the C.A.P.S. group incorporates it with Luckey s music. Songs like “The Power of Yet” and “Grit & Resilience” will leave students dancing, singing and learning lessons that will benefit them in the classroom and in life. ....
