To admire modern recreations of these and other well-known paintings, residents of San Angelo can head to a parking lot near 19 W. Twohig Street.
On Tuesday, May 4, 2021, new murals were revealed at San Angelo s Paintbrush Alley. Officials with Art in Uncommon Places showcased the works of several local artists prior to the 24-hour charity drive, San Angelo Gives.
City Park in Christoval is projected to see major improvements including a 2000 square foot entertainment pavilion, outdoor classrooms, and of course vendor spaces for Toe Nail Trail Days.

Community Improvement 17 organizations raised $238,143, with Playland Communities Foundation gaining $163,138.
Religious 16 organizations raised $170,595, with Bishop Street Recovery Ranch taking the top spot at $61,060.
Arts & Culture 18 organizations raised $147,867, with Ballet San Angelo earning $22,200.
Animals Eight organizations raised $144,797, with Concho Valley PAWS topping the category at $56,662.
Environment 2 organizations raised $4,556, with Friends of San Angelo State Park getting $4,040.
Gil s Restaurant Servers to Donate Tips to San Angelo Gives
SAN ANGELO, TX If you are headed to lunch on Tuesday, May 4, you may want to consider lunch at Gil s Restaurant, 837 Knickerbocker Road. The staff there is doing something special for the San Angelo Area Foundation s San Angelo Gives campaign. I just wanted to let y all know that on Tuesday May 4, San Angelo Gives Day, myself and all of my servers working from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. are donating all of our tips to several non-profit organizations, said manager Jackie Gonzales.

San Angelo Gives Kicks Off Tuesday
SAN ANGELO, TX – As the month of May kicks off, the San Angelo Area Foundation will be hosting the annual San Angelo Gives event on Tuesday, May 4th.
According to SAAF, San Angelo Gives connects the Concho Valley with community nonprofits to reinforce the value of both local philanthropic giving and community engagement.
Community members will have the chance to support their favorite local nonprofits by donating online. This year over 200 non-profits will be participating in the event.
In 2020, more than 10,000 donations yielded more than $2.6 million. Since 2015, more than $9.5 million has been raised through San Angelo Gives helping to raise awareness, ignite giving, and provide everyone the opportunity to become a philanthropist building a vibrant and thriving community, said SAAF.
