Broadcast center, this is abc7 news. Now at 11 00, a crumbling cliff and now a toppled tree. The community is dealing with its share of stormrelated emergencies. Those are just some of the problems we saw with heavy rains, rivers and two more storms are on the way. We have abc7 News Reporters in the north bay and pacifica with the latest on the storm damage left behind. It is a little batch of shower activity over Mount Hamilton. Most of the wet weather has ended. Here is a look at the next storm. Notice where it is going and notice that this storm has colder air. The storm comes in for your saturday. One is light and five is severe. This is a light system. It has a quarter to half an inch of rain expected for most area. Our other top story tonight 20 inmates brawled inside the santa clara jail after the sheriff purchased surveillance cameras. Tonig we are live outside the jail with the developing story. Reporter the sheriff installed 12 new cameras on the fourth floor. Thats where the most violent inmates are housed. The cameras caught the fight. Keep a close eye on the man on the left. During rec time he walks up to the inmate and starts punching. As many as 20 inmates are at each other. One inmate brushed up against the other and then the fight was on. Reporter about two dozen deputies rushed to pod 4a. They used perp spray to break things up.
Snow is already reaching the ground across parts of southern new jersey. Some indications this evening that a heavier band may reach new york city around 2 00 in the morning. The range in snowfall is going to be big. Youre talking about no snow in some northern suburbs. Maybe in ocean we pick up two or three inches. Visibility still good. Our temperatures are going to drop below freezing. Weve stayed below freezing but we will get wet sidewalks. Winter weather advisory is for ocean county. Thats where we can see some of our higher totals in the snow. Right now snow reaching in to ocean county. A lot of it not reaching the ground because the air is so dry. Decent snows here near dc. Snow off to the west is weakening. This is where were going to get some of our snowfall from. Watch what happens over the next few hours.
