but i want to point out there are still a number of steps that need to happen. think of it a as i show you lombard street behind me, the goal of it is really to reduce traffic congestion in the area. i ll give you a timeline of how we got to this point. was back on april 15th the board of supervisors voted unanimously for a resolution to charge drivers a toll to drive lombard street. this toll will be a part of what they re calling a reservation system which drivers would essentially reserve a spot in order to drive down lombard street. but in order to move forward with that toll the city needed state approval since existing law says the city can t impose a tax on city streets or highway for that matter. so a bill was create bid assemblyman phil ting of san francisco on april 15th to get that profl which the state assembly approved overwhelmingly as i mentioned just in the past half hour. but there are still a number of steps the city needs to take before this becomes the nor
