A farmer on the Lizard Peninsula has been hailed as saving Christmas after he and his family stepped in to cook lunch for dozens of people on their own on Christmas Day.
For the last five or six years a community lunch has been held at Mawgan Recreation Hall for elderly people in the area and those on their own at Christmas Day, but this year it could not take place due to coronavirus restrictions preventing gatherings.
However, after hearing that many would be missing out this year, David Webb of Gear Farm offered to cook the whole lunch with his family in their catering approved kitchen. ....
