60 month sentence. reporter: the scaling rebuke from the judge i expected that as well. reporter: williams implosion was many months in the making back in february announced he will not seek a third term as district attorney. my decision to accept gifts and failed to report them brought much embarras embarrass, shame and adverse publicity to me and unfortunately to the office for which i love. reporter: criminal charges followed bribery and other crimes allegaions that williams had a effect sold his influence as da to support a lavish lifestyle. he would ultimate and plead guilty in june as part of the deal that ended with trial prematurely. shame, shame, shame. in documents filed just last week, williams lawyers asked for leniency given quote many of the the positive accomplishments williams achieved as district attorney. in statement, williams apologized to his family, friends and supporters and said i have made mistakes, mistakes of character and judgment.
