A Marine Weather Statement has been issued for the following areas.
Sandy Hook NJ to Montauk Point out 40 NM.
Long Island South Shore Bays.
At 809 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated a gust front, capable of
producing winds to around 30 knots. This gust front was located along
a line extending from Penfield Reef to near South Oyster Bay to Fair
Haven, moving southeast at 25 knots.

Long Island Sound East of the Mouth of the Connecticut River.
Peconic and Gardiners Bays.
At 1125 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated strong thunderstorms, capable
of producing winds to around 30 knots. These thunderstorms were
located along a line extending from 8 nm northwest of Moriches Inlet
to 11 nm south of Buoy 44025, moving east at 30 knots.
